Conversions - Whether you like your music loud or louder, the Mustang GT audio system is designed to deliver mucho ear-blistering musico directly to your supplicating eardrums. Heck, it's like sitting front-row center at an AC/DC concert, watching little Angus scamper around in his schoolboy shorts — only louder. But it's not limited to AC/DC. Def Leppard, Guns & Roses, Motley Crüe, Led Zep, Metallica, Limp Bizkit — any of the standard attendees at the Headbanger's Ball will suit this fire-breathing mastodon just fine. Do we like it? You bet. Will it fry your auditory nerves? Every one of them. Conversions

Conversions - If your parents go away for the weekend and you decide to throw a party, don't bother with that ancient Kenmore all-in-one in the den with the broken record changer. Instead, slam this puppy into reverse, screech it to a halt in the driveway, jack on the parking brake and fling open the doors. You'll hear music both outside and inside the family domicile, even with the house sealed tight. The system comes in three flavors: 80 watts (a few steps above clock radio sound quality), 500 watts (ear bleed) and a bodacious 1,000-watt Shaker Audiophile system (total deafness). It may not be subtle, but remember what the German poet Goethe said: "Boldness has genius in it!"

Shaker 500 and Shaker 1000 systems with an in-dash 6-CD changer that has the capability to play discs burned with MP3 files. This means that 6-CDs full of MP3 files could provide more than 1200 songs or about 40 hours of continuous music.

In an effort to keep up the buzz surrounding its Mustang as Dodge and Chevy ready their muscle cars for the market, Ford is planning a series of "Feature Cars" for the V8 Mustang.

For the customer who just can't get enough sound, Ford offers the Shaker 1000. The Shaker 1000 adds a boot mounted subwoofer and an additional 500 watts of amplifier to exclimate the thump of the door mounted subwoofers.

Using computer aided design methods, Ford engineers were able to design a boot mounted subwoofer enclosure that provides more bass but occupies significantly less boot space. The unit is mounted in the right side of the boot of the car, freeing the rest of the boot space for luggage.

Design and Equipment
Mustang epitomizes pure American muscle. The signature long hood and short rear deck capitalize on more than 40 years of Mustang heritage, as do classic design cues that have defined Mustangs since the 1960s: C-scoops in the sides, three-element taillamps, and a galloping horse badge in the center of the grille.

The Mustang’s menacing shark-like nose imparts an attitude not seen since the 1967 model, while jeweled, round headlamps in trapezoidal housings are part of its modern architecture. The car’s aggressive rake gives the design visual motion, while the short overhangs and up to 18-inch wheels and tires anchor the design visually and physically to the road.
